Jacy L. Lance is an Associate Director of Public Affairs for Porzio Governmental Affairs, LLC. In this role, Ms. Lance helps clients achieve their goals by developing effective marketing and communications strategies targeting lawmakers, the public and the media. Ms. Lance’s work was integral to the passage of a seven-year priority bill for Compassion & Choices, the “Medical Aid in Dying for the Terminally Ill” Act, and she has worked hand-in-hand with the New Jersey State Society of Physician Assistants to not only craft appropriate messaging in communications with current members and the public to tout Association accomplishments but also to conduct membership drives highlighting organizational value and stimulating significant growth.
Prior to joining Porzio, Ms. Lance served as the Communications & Research Director for the New Jersey Gasoline, C-Store, Automotive Association (NJGCA). In this role, Ms. Lance handled all aspects of marketing and communications for the association including communication with members and drafting and preparing editorials and official statements for the press. Ms. Lance also assisted in government affairs and lobbying efforts including educating NJGCA members on NJ legislative proposals and other issues affecting their businesses.
Ms. Lance brings substantial experience to Porzio, having held previous roles as a campaign field representative for a congressional candidate and as the coordinator of legislative and advocacy services for The Arc of New Jersey. In these roles, Ms. Lance led and assisted with debate preparations, grassroots campaign activities, volunteer recruitment, community outreach, and multiple aspects of public policy and governmental affairs activities.
An active member of her community, Ms. Lance serves as Secretary for Monmouth County Young Republican Club and Ocean Township Republican Club. She also is the Ocean Township District 18 Elected County Committeewoman.
Ms. Lance earned a Master of Public Affairs and Politics from the Rutgers University Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Studies from Elon University.
