ABS brings more than two decades of nonprofit expertise to expand service offerings

Porzio Governmental Affairs (PGA) and Association Business Solutions (ABS) today jointly announced that ABS has joined PGA to establish and grow the firm’s Association Management practice, further strengthening their collective ability to serve nonprofit and association clients across New Jersey. The integration coincides with the launch of PGA’s refreshed brand identity, reflecting the firm’s continued evolution and expanded service platform.

Founded in 2003, ABS has built a strong reputation for delivering comprehensive association management, government relations, and event planning services to nonprofit organizations statewide. Through this integration, PGA expands its association-focused services while ABS clients gain access to PGA’s broader advocacy, policy, and governmental affairs resources. Porzio Governmental Affairs is a wholly owned subsidiary of Porzio, Bromberg & Newman, P.C.

ABS founders Paula Harrington and Karla Pollack now serve as Senior Director and Director with PGA, respectively, where they continue to lead the Association Management practice and work directly with existing clients.

“We are incredibly proud of what we’ve built over the past 22 years and grateful for the amazing community of colleagues and clients who have been part of our journey,” said Paula Harrington, Senior Director at PGA and former Principal at ABS. “Joining Porzio Governmental Affairs allows us to expand our capabilities and bring even greater value to the associations we serve, while preserving the relationships and expertise our clients depend on.”

Karla Pollack, Senior Director at PGA and former Principal at ABS, emphasized the continuity clients can expect. “Our clients will continue working with the same dedicated team they know and trust—now with access to broader resources and expanded services. We love our history and are very excited about this next chapter as part of the Porzio family.”

“We’re excited to welcome Paula, Karla, and the entire ABS team to Porzio Governmental Affairs and to launch our Association Management practice,” said Sal M. Anderton, General Counsel at Porzio Governmental Affairs. ” As we unveil PGA’s refreshed brand, this integration underscores our continued growth and our commitment to delivering comprehensive, forward-thinking solutions for associations and nonprofits. Their outstanding reputation in association management and deep relationships within New Jersey’s nonprofit community align perfectly with our commitment to delivering exceptional client service.”

Together, the integration expands the services available to clients of both organizations, combining ABS’s personalized association management expertise with PGA’s strategic advocacy, government relations, and policy resources. Clients benefit from enhanced capabilities, broader networks, and additional professional support—while maintaining the continuity, trusted relationships, and high-touch service that have long defined both firms.

Clients and partners of both organizations can expect a transition, with no disruptions to services and the same commitment to excellence that has guided ABS and PGA for decades.
