June 15, 2020 – On Friday, May 29, 2020, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy announced that licensed community-based child care centers could reopen to all clients on June 15, providing that centers follow specific CDC and State guidelines. With the exception of approximately 500 of the 4100 licensed community-based child care centers in NJ working on emergency status, the majority of community-based child care centers have been closed for nearly two months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Porzio Governmental Affairs Ranked Among Top Five Lawyer-Lobbyists in NJ for 2019, according to New Jersey Law Journal
April 13, 2020 – The New Jersey Law Journal released its list of the top 2019 New Jersey lawyer-lobbyist firms by revenue, ranking Porzio Governmental Affairs (PGA) as one of the top five in the state. Receipts for PGA increased by 10% from 2018 and placed PGA fifth among lawyer-lobbying firms.

Medical Aid in Dying Act for the Terminally Ill Signed into Law
April 17, 2019 – On April 12, 2019, Governor Murphy signed New Jersey’s Medical Aid in Dying for the Terminally Ill Act into law. New Jersey is the 8th state to permit terminally ill, mentally capable adult patients, the right to request life-ending medication.
