June 15, 2020 – On Friday, May 29, 2020, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy announced that licensed community-based child care centers could reopen to all clients on June 15, providing that centers follow specific CDC and State guidelines. With the exception of approximately 500 of the 4100 licensed community-based child care centers in NJ working on emergency status, the majority of community-based child care centers have been closed for nearly two months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

April 16, 2020 – Governor Murphy has signed into law a bill that requires virtual or remote instruction days be counted towards the 180-day school requirement during certain emergencies.
April 13, 2020 – The New Jersey Law Journal released its list of the top 2019 New Jersey lawyer-lobbyist firms by revenue, ranking Porzio Governmental Affairs (PGA) as one of the top five in the state. Receipts for PGA increased by 10% from 2018 and placed PGA fifth among lawyer-lobbying firms.

April 2, 2020 – On April 1, 2020, the New Jersey Superior Court issued an Order dismissing with prejudice a challenge to the New Jersey Medical Aid in Dying Act.
