Legislation Eliminating Red Tape for State’s Audiologists Signed Into Law

March 18, 2019 – On March 18, 2019, Governor Murphy signed S746/A3045 into law.  Initiated by longtime PGA client, the New Jersey Speech-Language Hearing Association (NJSHA), this legislation allows audiologists to dispense hearing aids by virtue of their audiology license without having to obtain a separate license to perform that function. 

New Jersey Legislature Delays Vote on Legalizing Adult Use Cannabis

March 26, 2019 – The legalization of cannabis has been a major issue in New Jersey politics for several year now.  Since Governor Phil Murphy, a proponent of legalization, took office, it has moved to one of the top legislative proposals being discussed in the halls of the State House, in the media, and even in people’s living rooms. 

Elizabeth Shea Joins Porzio Governmental Affairs, LLC

December 1, 2018 – Elizabeth Shea, former Assistant Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Human Services, is joining the lobbying team of Porzio Governmental Affairs, LLC (PGA) as Vice President.  She will focus on health care and human services management, strategic planning, and public policy; particularly in the area of developmental disabilities.
